Preorder Party! - MARCH -
Books to look forward to, and backlist titles for while you wait!
This time, I’m sharing a selection of picture through middle grade books — all coming out in March — that you may want to preorder or put on hold at the library. (How much fun is it to be the first one to check out a library book?!) Are there other books coming out next month? Absolutely. But I’m in the business of culling through what looks like a party (and I’m SURE I’m missing some bangers!), and I also include backlist titles to read as you prep. If there’s a book on your list that’s not on mine, please add it in the comments.
As always, I’m excited for you to feel encouraged and inspired to make your own party from what I share here. Use the backlist titles to prep, have conversations, and build excitement for what’s to come, but do it in your own way. These aren’t homework assignments.
Please rememember that all my Bookshop links are affiliate links. First and foremost, I want you to use your local libraries and independent bookstores. BUT! If you choose to buy online, I am grateful for your support. I know shipping times are longer, but it’s worth it.
Oh, and unless signed with a —CD, all quotes are directly from the publishers! I’ll work up to getting advanced copies or NetGalley access of all the books I feature, but we aren’t there… yet.
OK, enough chatting: here we go with joy! connection! and anticipation! for March. (April will be in your inboxes closer to the beginning of March, I promise.)

Oooo so many good ones!! We love Penguin Cruise so Rabbit Residence will be perfect for our Easter baskets! And anything by Jashar Awan is always a must. Thank you for compiling these, always gives me great ideas for book gifts. 🫶
Very excited about this—thank you for doing this heavy lifting for us! Still mulling over whether to go the Mo Willems or RUTHIE route. We loved GASTON but haven’t read OOKO yet, so that would be a fun choice, and believe it or not we have not read many (any?) Pigeon books yet so naturally this feels like the perfect opportunity. I’m inviting our cousins in Texas to join in on the fun so we can compare notes! They are huge EVERY MONDAY MABEL fans so we can’t rule out LOOPS either! I’m guessing THE FUTURE BOOK is the selection at your house??
