Oooo so many good ones!! We love Penguin Cruise so Rabbit Residence will be perfect for our Easter baskets! And anything by Jashar Awan is always a must. Thank you for compiling these, always gives me great ideas for book gifts. 🫶
I’m so happy to hear this, Brittany! And I think RABBIT RESIDENCE is going to be an Easter basket book in our house, too. Can’t wait to hear what you gift and how they’re received!!
Very excited about this—thank you for doing this heavy lifting for us! Still mulling over whether to go the Mo Willems or RUTHIE route. We loved GASTON but haven’t read OOKO yet, so that would be a fun choice, and believe it or not we have not read many (any?) Pigeon books yet so naturally this feels like the perfect opportunity. I’m inviting our cousins in Texas to join in on the fun so we can compare notes! They are huge EVERY MONDAY MABEL fans so we can’t rule out LOOPS either! I’m guessing THE FUTURE BOOK is the selection at your house??
Update: there was SO much anticipation for the Amazon truck this afternoon. We loved RUTHIE (maybe even more than OOKO!) but I really loved the build up the best. About to go up and give it a second read at bedtime!
I was thinking about your delivery today and am SO HAPPY to read this update!!! Thank you so much for sharing. I’m so glad y’all have RUTHIE to love, and that it now holds the special feeling of excited anticipation with each read 💙
For the kids, THE LIGHTHOUSE AT THE WORLD'S END (#4 in THE HOUSE AT THE EDGE OF MAGIC).
For the adults, CHILDREN OF STRIFE (#4 in CHILDREN OF TIME). I needed a break from reading middle grade and this is my favorite kind of sci-fi: lots of technical nerdery + getting to see what happens over long time scales while maintaining a reasonable number of characters to keep track of. Plus I think the kids will love it in a few years and I can't wait to read it again alongside them.

You’re so welcome, Grace! And yes, you know we are SO excited for THE FUTURE BOOK.
Mo Willems books might go well with something I have planned for paid subs on Friday…
Can’t wait to hear what you choose!!
Decided to go with RUTHIE. And our cousins will be in town the day that it releases, so that will be extra exciting to read it together :)
Yay!!!
